Famous drummer Sivamani turns music director

SivamaniAfter 35 years in the music industry, famous Indian drummer Sivamani makes his debut as a composer in the Tamil film Arima Nambi

Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, the film is directed by debutant Anand Shankar, a former associate of director A R Murugadoss.

Sivamani plays many instruments including drums, octoban, darbuka, udukai, and kanjira. 

He began drumming at the age of seven and has played for legendary composers such as M S Viswanathan and Ilaiyaraja.  He is A R Rahman's lead percussionist. 

Sivamani is a familiar face at IPL matches.  He has entertained millions of cricket fans with his energetic, peppy beats resounding throughout the stadium, as he enthusiastically cheered the Chennai Super Kings 

There are five tracks in the album, of which Yaaro Yaar Aval sung by Runa Rizvi and Shabir is an upbeat joyous number inspired from prog-rock.  Neeye Neeye is a soothing melody sung by Shreya Ghoshal.

An action-thriller, Arima Nambi features Vikram Prabhu (Prabhu's son) and the hot and happening Priya Anand in the lead.
