OnePlus known for its phones with high-end specs at pocket-friendly prices has created its own unique fandom.

The latest from the OnePlus stable is for die-hard Star War fans -- I wonder who isn't.

OnePlus announced the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition at Comic Con 2017 in Bengaluru, which was powered by the Chinese manufacturer. The phone which was launched in Mumbai on December 14 to commemorate the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi the next day, is priced at ₹ 38,999 for 8GB/128GB configuration.

For this launch, OnePlus has changed its 'Never settle' tag line to 'Strong Enough To Rule The Galaxy' -- a dig at Samsung's Galaxy flagships.

The OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition comes clad in white just like the Star Wars Stormtrooper with a Star Wars red logo at the rear bottom of the phone.

Beyond this white shell there is nothing new in the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition.

It comes with the same hardware specs as OnePlus 5T, running on the latest Qualcomm processor Snapdragon 835 and packing 6/8 GB RAM and 64/128 GB ROM respectively.

Following the latest design trend, OnePlus 5T offers 18:9 aspect ratio with full view edge-to-edge display and full HD (1080p x 2160p) AMOLED display on a 6.01-inch metal frame with a metal back.

On the front, the display is protected by 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass 5.

The primary camera on the rear has a 16MP +20 MP dual camera setup with wider aperture at f/1.7 in both the lenses.

The camera comes equipped with electronic image stabilisation (EIS), but the optical image stabilisation (OIS) is still missing.

EIS helps reduce motion blur during video shoots and still photography using electronic processing while OIS uses optical lenses to achieve the same with better results.

The battery too remains the same at 3,300 mAh (non-removable) accompanied with fast charging Dash Charge (5V/4A).

Maybe this is purely cosmetic, but to give the limited edition phone the Star Wars feel, the phone comes with Star Wars theme based icons, wall papers, and ringtones.

Now that you know that there is just branding that separates the OnePlus 5T Star Wars Limited Edition from the OnePlus 5T, will you be interested in buying the former?
